A virtual machine cannot have more virtual CPUs than the number of logical cores on the host. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.0/com.vmware.vsphere.html.hostclient.doc/GUID-13AD347E-3B77-4A67-B3F4-4AC2230E4509.html?hWord=N4IghgNiBcIQ9gcwJYGNIAJXwE4FMBnEAXyA
