D and E make more sense to me as well. Update manager is not used for initial install of ESXi. And if it is, then i will need to wash my eyes with soap.

1. Interactive Mode, you interactice directly with the host for a fresh installation. 2. Auto Deploy, deploy hosts remotely with host profile. D, E.

Update Manager is a product of a vCenter Server Appliance. We are talking about an ESXi Host installation.

Auto Deploy is also actually a service in VCSA. But the point here is method to install ESXi on a host. 1. Interactive Mode, you interactice directly with the host for a fresh installation. 2. Auto Deploy. Deploy the hosts remotely with/without host profile.

Update manager can deploy an ESXI image BUT only if an existing image is on the bare metal. It can't do a fresh install. The only options availble are shown in the link below and therefore the only answer to this question is "D" & "E" https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.esxi.install.doc/GUID-6E6BCACF-33CA-4466-90B7-73CCA37BB5E1.html
