An administrator sees a virtual machine message that reads, `Consolidation is required` in the vSphere Client. Which action does ESXi take when the administrator completes snapshot consolidation?
A.
Collapses all snapshots in the current snapshot tree
B.
Commits redundant delta disks to the base disk
C.
Collapses all snapshots into a single snapshot
D.
Deletes all snapshots without committing to the base disk
The correct answer is B

Typically, the snapshot file is in use by the virtual machine until the snapshot is consolidated/deleted. When a snapshot is deleted, any additional files in the hierarchy that are not identified by the Snapshot Manager are included in the commit process.
Sometimes, if the VMs show consolidation is needed and no snapshots are present under the snapshot manager, creating a new snapshot and deleting it clears the entire hierarchy. This means that all snapshot files on the virtual machine are committed, then deleted.
I think this answer should be C, based on the document below. I'm not sure, though. Can somebody advise me on the correct answer?

Consolidation is required when there are snapshots that are left behind and need to be removed after a warning on the interface. Once done, all the snapshots are committed and removed from the VM.
