B, C, and D can all be applied on a Standard Virtual Switch.

AE are right. I would say the the "Port migrates with their client" means that a vmotion to a different host doesn't change the port binding. That's why port mirroring works on the VDS only...

These options are not available on vSphere standard switches. Customers can configure the following key parameters for each dvportgroup. Number of virtual ports (dvports) Port binding (static, dynamic, ephemeral) VLAN Trunking/Private VLANs Teaming and Load Balancing along with Active and Standby Links Bi-directional traffic shaping parameters Port Security https://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2011/11/vds-best-practices-virtual-and-physical-switch-parameters.html

Teaming and Load Balancing along with Active and Standby Links are avilable on standard switches. The blog is wrong or outdated.

A is correct, VDS is configured at Datacenter level. B,C,D are available in VSS as well. E makes no sense to me, but that is the only other option left.

E. States that the port associated with the VM migrates to the new host along with the VM. With a VSS the port binding is removed (as VSS is local to each host) and when the VM is on its new host a new port binding is created with the local VSS. As a VDS is distributed across all hosts, there is no need to remove and recreate a binding.
