A vSphere administrator is required to join all strategies ESXi hosts to an Active Directory domain for enhanced security. Which utility would accomplish this?
vsphere authentication proxy behaves like Radius or AAA. esx host is not sending any credentials to AD it sends them to vCenter service and it will do authentication on its behalf. Service not enabled by default (needs to be started on vCenter). Will not work in ipv6 only networks.
You can add ESXi hosts to an Active Directory domain by using vSphere Authentication Proxy instead of adding the hosts explicitly to the Active Directory domain.
You only have to set up the host so it knows about the domain name of the Active Directory server and about the IP address of vSphere Authentication Proxy.
Correct Answer is C
