it says lan traffic, so must be vNIC. vHBA does storage traffic like FC.

or is it B bcs maybe not all traffic in the server goes through the uplink, so we use the traffic actually from the server ports individually??

from the same link below, it also states that we can use as source the Ethernet uplink port. Why not use that, since we want all the traffic in the LAN?
