Nah I think this was just a typo on whoever wrote this key. I've spotted plenty of other typos/grammar errors. Plus comptia can have scummy questions, but they neverrr misspell to trick you up on an exam. I'm positive answer is B

A. Obfuscation means that we take something and make it much more difficult to understand. B. Steganography is a technique for obscuring the presence of a message, often by embedding information within a file or other entity. SO, steganography is the answer The message was embedded in the email’s attachment

the question asks for the type of message not the method. So I think the provided answer is right; the message is obfuscated.

Steganography is the technique of hiding secret data within an ordinary, non-secret, file or message in order to avoid detection. That has to be it.

Comptia are tricky, but NOT AS MUCH AS THIS!!! This is a TYPO and in the exam you will see STAGANOGRAPHY as the answer. This is also the right answer. Steganography - hiding a message in a file. Supports this scenario and is the correct answer. Obfuscation - Changing the content of the message. If you can see this in the question you should take a reading class before sitting this exam.

As per professor Messer, he says that " One type of obfuscation that works with images is called steganography, where you’re hiding information within a picture." As per this the question does not mention that there is a image so it would make sense to go with Obfuscation.

they said an attachment which could still be a picture or a scanned document. steganography is the answer.Obfuscation is an act to get someone confused about something not necessarily hiding anything

I had this question on my exam (Dec 2020) and can confirm that on the REAL EXAM, B is steganography NOT stenography. I selected B steganography and according to my post exam report I didn't get any questions from the cryptography section wrong. (steganography falls under 6.1 according to official exam objectives) Remember, on the real exam there won't be typos.

Answer is correct. Its a trick question guys. "STENOGRAPHY" is not the correct word. Stenography: the action or process of writing in shorthand or taking dictation. Steganography: the practice of concealing messages or information within other nonsecret text or data.

They are not talking about an image, but rather an embedded message. "The process of obfuscation is when you take one topic, and you make it much more complex to understand. ... One type of obfuscation that works with images is called steganography, where you are hiding information within a picture."

"Steganography is the practice of concealing a file, message, image, or video within another file, message, image, or video." Literally just google the word steganography. It's not exclusive to images.

It says "An attachment that was emailed to finance employees contained an embedded message" meaning an attachment (could be image) was emailed that contains an embedded message and it also says "conceal the content from public view." meaning anyone in public could not see the embedded message. Sounds like steganography which is A if it's not just a typo
