The options seem to be deliberately crafted to mislead people. You cannot configure whitelisting for the team, it can only be done on the workstation. Since the option to whitelist the application on the workstation is not on the list, the closest one is to use containerisation

What do you mean? Where in the question or answers is it implied that you can't whitelist the apps on the workstation? What else would "configure whitelisting for the team" mean? It doesn't mean whitelisting members of a team lol. It definitely means whitelisting applications.

C is the answers Containerization allows developers to create and deploy applications faster and more securely. With traditional methods, code is developed in a specific computing environment which, when transferred to a new location, often results in bugs and errors.

This doesn't seem clear. whitelisting applications should be the correct answer.containerisation is separation not restriction. management wants them to concentrate on a particular set of tools .whitelisting these tools gives them the opportunity to work only with these tools under certain conditions

Containerization = Virtualization = VDIs. This what we do at work for teams who need very specific settings/programs and nothing else.

How do you implement containerazation on a WORKSTATION? Anyone? All comptia study resources refer to containers in terms of mobile devices ONLY. Answer D with 100% confidence.

Use Docker as the Container engine to run on workstation and use Kubernetes to control it. At the end of the day if the option is "whitelisting a team" I will skip it and go with containerization.

D was my first choice. But i go with C. I might be overreading this and thinking comptia being tricky .. Can you whitelist a team? or whitelisting applications

I think the given answer is correct. Whitelisting is not enough for the answer, we need more. Here is the key point: "Other tools are not permitted for compliance and tracking purposes." Containerization: A mobile app or workspace that runs within a partitioned environment to prevent other (unauthorized) apps from interacting with it.

I think answer is A and i tell u why: the manager needs to keep the team focused on customer issues and minimize distractions. -so the main goals are to help the clients and use something that won't let them laze around The users have a specific set of tools installed, which they must use to perform their duties. Other tools are not permitted for compliance and tracking purposes. - have already applied whiteliste Team members have access to the Internet for product lookups and to research customer issues. -the author of the question focuses on browsing the Internet Which of the following should a security engineer employ to fulfill the requirements for the manager? -WAF -A web application firewall is a specific form of application firewall that filters, monitors, and blocks HTTP traffic to and from a web service. So we can block Facebook, Instagram etc. I go with WAF!

D. So this is why I’m going with D on this one: question: ...The users have a specific set of tools installed, which they must use to perform their duties. Other tools are not permitted for compliance and tracking purposes. An application whitelist is a list of applications and application components that are authorized for use in an organization. Application whitelisting technologies use whitelists to control which applications are permitted to execute on a host. This helps to stop the execution of malware, unlicensed software, and other unauthorized software. -- https://www.nist.gov/publications/guide-application-whitelisting

D does not specify it is a application whitelist. What if it's a website whitelist?
