Should be C. The materials safety data sheet will detail chemical composition which will determine storage/disposal methods.

I understand where they got their answer, because you're cleaning out an old warehouse which might not have the safety data sheet readily available so you'll have to refer to the manufacturer's website or contact information, to get the information. I still think the answer should be C though because that will be where the information is obtained.

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200(g)), revised in 2012, requires that the chemical manufacturer, distributor, or importer provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly MSDSs or Material Safety Data Sheets) for each hazardous chemical to downstream users to communicate information on these hazards. The information contained in the SDS is largely the same as the MSDS, except now the SDSs are required to be presented in a consistent user-friendly, 16-section format. This brief provides guidance to help workers who handle hazardous chemicals to become familiar with the format and understand the contents of the SDSs. *Section 13: Disposal Considerations (non-mandatory)* from https://www.osha.gov/Publications/OSHA3514.html

I think answer B is correct, usually, MSDS provides more detailed instruction of the HAZMAT.
