Initially I thought chkdisk as answer, but after doing some research you are probably more right.

It's not about being "more right". Using chkdsk is completely wrong; you want to check the system files (D: sfc) not check the physical integrity of the disk (chkdsk).

Guys I think the keyword here is, "CHECK".... I believe chkdisk you can run without having the fix automatically applied while with sfc the fix is applied after scanning.

I agree it only states that there MAY be some corrupt files so the CHKDSK is being used to test the theory. I guess its based on the troubleshooting steps from core 1

yup, also if you just run sfc, it actually doesn't tells you which files may be corrupt. It just shows that there are corrupt files and it has been fix. So Chkdsk is a good option for this one

diskpart: This is a tool that helps you manage your computer’s drives (like hard drives or partitions). It’s not typically used for checking or fixing corrupt system files. . sfc: This stands for “System File Checker”. It’s a tool that scans all protected system files and replaces corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache

answer is clearly D sfc - system file checker, checks for corrupt operating system files and drives and repair/replace them. chkdsk checks for issues and bad sectors on the storage drive.

Chkdsk is to verify file system and not specific to OS. But the quetions says Specifics about OS so SFC should be right answer .

See this website, it is possible that the answer (b) is the correct one. Here he explains that (Chkdsk) is the first option to use if it does not solve the problems, but it is solved, then go to the command (SFC). https://www.makeuseof.com/difference-between-chkdsk-sfc-and-dism-in-windows-10/ I also found this fragment in the book of Mike Meryers "The Chkdsk (Checkdisk) Command Scans, Detets, And Repires File System" ISSUES AND ERRORS. You Can Run The Chkdsk Utility From A Command Prompt With The Switches /F And /R. The /f switch attempts to fix file system -related error, While the /r switch attempts to locate and repair bad sectors. "

The answer is 100% D- System File Checker. All the rookies will clearly say B is the right answer which is not, most of the people haven't read any book or watched a single video, they just come here to make guesses rather than helping

It is SFC. SFC scans the integrity of your OS. It should be used prior to running DISM.

It is SFC. SFC scans for corrupted files. CHKDSK scans the actual disk for bad sectors and other damages.

Answer is B. CHKDSK is a command to check the file system and files on your disk. It can tell you about the drive health of your disk and filesystem. SFC [System File Checker] is a tool to correct Windows software in your OS by using a secured Windows Storage folder to get corrected versions for system files.
