Leaning towards C D If we're talking desktop/laptops and phones there are no default accounts enabled, unless you opened that hole yourself. Default config on both phones and computers and whitelisting would be my final answer on game day. Could be a trap, on things like routers and IoT devices E makes sense... but they only gave us computers and phones in the rest of the question.

Nope, daily patch managment is very tricky. You should apply patches after you have tested it. Why D, because you have smaller attack window and easier management, also less daily patch. D+ E.
