A user is unable to access a network share but can access email. A technician has confirmed the user has the appropriate permissions to access the share. Which of the following commands should the technician use FIRST?
A. ping: This is like shouting out to see if a friend can hear you. If they shout back, you know they’re there and you can reach them. If they don’t, they might be too far away, or something might be blocking your voice.
B. nslookup: This is like looking up a friend’s house in a neighborhood directory. It tells you where their house is located.
C. net use: This is like creating a secret path directly to your friend’s hiding spot. Once the path is set up, you can use it to send messages back and forth easily.
D. ipconfig: This is like looking at a map of your neighborhood. It shows you where you are, and gives information about the paths leading to your friends’ houses. So in this case I believe it to be PING
net use   This subcommand of the Windows net command enables a user to connect, disconnect, and view information about existing connections to network resources.
Net command does specifically net view allows you to see available shared resources, not net use, you would attempt to connect to a share using net use. I feel like ping is what you need to do FIRST to see if the connection to the server is even possible.
