This is about the hundredth time Ann has experienced technical problems. The company would be better off firing her.

Example of this is when you use Starbucks wifi. You are connected once you select the SSID but in order to access the internet you need to open a browser and agree to their internet guidelines. B is correct.

The best course of action in this scenario would be B. Ask Ann to open a browser and watch for a redirect page. The WiFi network ConnectMe appears as unsecured, which suggests it might be a public WiFi network. Many public WiFi networks require users to agree to terms of service or enter login credentials on a web page before they can access the internet. This is known as a captive portal. If Ann opens a browser, she may be redirected to such a page where she can gain full internet access, allowing her to retrieve her corporate email.

This whole question infuriates me. How is the tech still employed after recommending that she put her device, personal and corporate data at risk by messing with a compromised connection. That's like getting a call after someone that visited a website that is clearly harboring malware and telling them to click around just to make sure.

that's what I have thought too, the answer should be asking ann to connect to a VPN so no one could hack her data in a public place.

She's at Maccas for a munch, so you need to go through their redirection page on the internet to access the internet properly.

The answer is C because the WI-Fi she connect to is unsecure and connect to your house internet is more secure.

it may not be C, you're assuming she has a hardwire connection at home or how to use it. she may be naïve

She is either connecting to a wireless set up by someone with malicious intent which has a proxy set up to redirect the page OR she is connecting to a public Wi-Fi (like in a library or a train station) where after you connect, you would need to agree to some policies before receiving access to the network. I assume it's the latter and it would make sense this way.
