584 | The Official CompTIA® A+® Core 1 and Core 2 Student Guide (Exams 220-1001 and 220-1002) - Note: Hiding the SSID does not secure the network; you must enable encryption. Even when broadcast is disabled, the SSID can still be detected using packet sniffing tools. The Official CompTIA® A+® Core 1 and Core 2 Student Guide (Exams 220-1001 and 220-1002) - You may want to turn the power output on an AP down to prevent "war driving." War driving is the practice of driving around with a wireless-enabled laptop scanning for unsecure WLANs. The main problem with this approach is that it requires careful configuration to ensure that there is acceptable coverage for legitimate users. You also expose yourself slightly to "evil twin" attacks, as users may expect to find the network at a given location and assume that a rogue AP is legitimate. Therefore the answers must be A and F. Disabling SSID is good if we don't want our customers connect to the network. The only security measure related to SSID is change its default name! It won't defend it against bad actors.

Reduce transmit power - this limits who can get access get into your router physically by range. Disabling SSID makes the network invisible, which now only people who know the network exists can log in to it.

I think that reducing the transmit power is a little pointless, since the SSID will not be obvious. I know that someone could reveal the SSID with the proper tools, however here seems more correct E and F. What do you think guys?

WPA is not a safe way of encrypting channels as known insecurities have been discovered. WPA2 would be a different case.

I think they're looking for the transmit power because of the "crowded office building" comment. Unfortunately, it seems like you really need to pay attention to very specific key words with CompTia
