  • A. Disk2 on Server1
  • B. Disk1 on Server2
  • C. Disk1 on Server1
  • D. Disk3 on Server3
  • E. Disk2 on Server2
  • F. Disk2 on Server3

Suggested Answer: A 🗳️
GPT is more robust and allows for volumes bigger than 2 TB. The two disks that are larger than 2 TB are Disk2 on Server1 and Disk1 on Server3.

i guess "Server3 Disk1 ( 8TB )". Can anyone please explain why "Server3 Disk 1 (8TB)" is not the correct answer ?

Because that is not given as one of the options. Both are correct, but only one is given as an answer to the question.

Server 2 Disk 1 AND Server 3 Disk 1 must be initialize as a GPT disk, but because server 3 disk 1 is not available for selection, server 2 disk 1 is your only correct choice from all given selections. MBR supports only up to 2 TB and NOT above.

I'm guessing you got confused in your answer there. The reasoning was correct but you chose Server 2 Disk 1 as your answer, which is 1TB and therefore does not need to be GPT, I'm guessing you just mixed the numbers up. The answer for clarification for anyone else wondering is... A - Disk 2 on Server 1 (at 4TB it is the only disk available in the answers that is over 2TB).

Why this one "must initialize" and 8TB does not!? Anything to do with file system?

The question asks "What is *one* of the disks that you must initialize as a GPT disk?" In other words, which of the following need GPT. But otherwise, you're correct the 8TB drive would need GPT.

Yes, it just isn't an option in the multiple-choice section.

Yes, you are right, the answer should be 8TB that is "Disk 1 on Server 3" but you have to pick the available answers from the given list below. A. Disk2 on Server1 B. Disk1 on Server2 C. Disk1 on Server1 D. Disk3 on Server3 E. Disk2 on Server2 F. Disk2 on Server3 We don't have such option which refer to 8TB or "Disk 1 on Server 3", I hope it will make sense.
