Read carefully: "You deploy a Host Guardian on a new server". "new", not "Server1"

Not only that, the question also states that you PLAN to install shielded gaurdians, not that they are already installed. I think that is what tricked many people. so yeah, you must read and understand the question perfectly

I agree with n409309. deploying a Host Guardian is a distraction. The question states "You need to ensure that Server1 can host shielded virtual machines. What should you run first?" The first few step would be step: Copy the generalized VHDX created in Prepare an operating system VHDX to the server, if it is not already there. Install the Shielded VM Tools feature from Remote Server Administration Tools on the machine. "Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-Shielded-VM-Tools -Restart" Which Dean has.

Im with the others, the clear English is lacking. 'You deploy a HGS server' is past tense - done. sorted. If the answer is G then the question should read 'You are going to deploy' or 'You need/want to deploy'. There should be a government regulations on these corporate exams.

Its being sneaky. They installed the host guardian service on a new server. We are now working on Server1. Therefore we need to install the feature

I am not sure about the answer, because ok, you need to install HGS role before, but in the question it's saying it's already installed. You can run shielded vm locally without setting up HGS, However, if you migrate to another host, you must update key protector for the VM.

I believe the answer G is correct. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/security/set-up-hgs-for-always-encrypted-in-sql-server#set-up-the-first-hgs-node In order to run a shielded VM you need the HGS role installed. That can be installed by the install-windowsfeature cmdlet

the Install-WindowsFeature cmdlet is used to deploy the Host Guardian Service (HGS) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/security/guarded-fabric-shielded-vm/guarded-fabric-deployment-overview - Step 2

Apologies - the info I provided is incorrect, in the question the HGS has already been deployed. I believe that the next required step would be to install the Management tools to automate the secure provisioning and hosting of shielded VMs (Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-Shielded-VM-Tools -Restart) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/security/guarded-fabric-shielded-vm/guarded-fabric-deployment-overview - Step 4 but I am not certain.
