the correct is: -Remove VM1 from FC1 -Perform live migration from Hyprt-V Manager -Add the Virtual Machine role This step simply removes the Virtual Machine from the cluster and changes the availability of the Virtual Machine from Highly Available to Standalone. when removed from the cluster can only be managed with Hyper-v http://www.checkyourlogs.net/?p=16401

I completely agree with Davis_Buezo. After remove VM1 from FC1, we must use Hyper-v.

I agree. VM1 became a Standalone after removal from FC1, hence must use HyperV

I agree with Davis_Buezo also. Live migration is a Hyper-v function. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/manage/live-migration-overview

agree, by removing the vm does not stop, and from hyper v you move it to other node from other cluster, then you create a new role in the another cluster

I agree with Davis_Buezo that using Hyper-V Manager. At least since removing VM1 from FC1, we can't use Failover Cluster Manager to migrate VM1.
