When you create a ‘Storage Spaces Direct’ pool it erases the data and uses the whole disk. Delete the E: partition is the only answer that makes sense. e.g. option A

I think the correct answer A is correct. It's needed to delete partition and old data before creating S2D. C and D aren't correct. Before creating S2D no partition shouldn't exists. B isn't correct. When a disk is offline nobody operates the disk.

So then on the exam, ReFS does NOT support Data Deduplication? Because the answer is A and not D. If the exam was updated it could be both. Information around this is so conflicting and confusing. I'll assume that unless specific Version is mentioned, the questions refer to BASIC server 2016, without any version updates.
