Answer is correct. Support for large volumes - Prior to Windows Server 2016, volumes had to be specifically sized for the expected churn, with volume sizes above 10 TB not being good candidates for deduplication. In Windows Server 2016, Data Deduplication supports volume sizes up to 64 TB. Support for large files - Prior to Windows Server 2016, files approaching 1 TB in size were not good candidates for deduplication. In Windows Server 2016, files up to 1 TB are fully supported. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/data-deduplication/whats-new

Data deduplication will not work on resilient file system (ReFs) disks Data deduplication is supported in current releases of the Windows Server Semi-Annual Channel. There current version is Windows Server version 1803. ReFS support for data deduplication was Introduced with Windows Server version 1709. on the official questions it is absolutely necessary to report that REFS on windows server 2016 is not supported...

The test was last updated in March 2019. 1709 was not released untill October 2019 so I would say the according to the test, dedup is not supported

Version 1709 Windows Server, version 1709 (based on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update) was released on October 17, 2017. The release has dropped the Windows Server 2016 name and is just called Windows Server by Microsoft.[48] It is offered to the Microsoft Software Assurance customers who have an active Windows Server 2016 license and has the same system requirements. This is the first Windows Server product to fall under the "Semi-Annual Channel" (SAC) release cadence.[49] This product only features the Server Core and the Nano Server modes. Of the two, only the Server Core mode of the OS can be installed on a bare system. The Nano Server mode is only available as an operating system container.[

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/refs/refs-overview Please search "Available on Windows Server, version 1709 and later." For Windows Server, version 1709 and later, ReFS can use data deduplication Now, I don't know how to answer a similar question in Exam if Windows Server Version is not specified...

Since this is Windows Server 2016 exam, always assume its that server version. ReFS can use data deduplication on the new Windows Server 2019
