You have a Hyper-V host that runs Windows Server 2016. You need to identify the amount of processor resources consumed by Hyper-V and virtual machines. Which counter should you use from Performance Monitor?
A.
\Hyper-V Hypervisor\Logical Processor
B.
\Hyper-V HypervisorRoot Virtual Processor(_Total)\% Guest Run Time
C.
\Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor(_Total)\% Hypervisor Run Time
D.
\Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor(_Total)\% Total Run Time
Option A- \Hyper-V Hypervisor\Logical Processor we get the number of logical processors.
The correct answer is D- \Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor(_Total)\% Total Run Time
Monitoring Physical CPUs
The counter you want to look for is Hyper-V Hypervisor Logical Processor. Specifically % Total Run Time.
Monitoring Virtual CPUs
A very useful counter is Hyper-V Hypervisor Virtual Processor. Specifically % Total Run Time.
Agree on A, but the real good answer is not given. Since A is actually only the container for all counters, you'll get to much info from these counters for the question. In question 108 on view 22 there is another answer E that is correct. So this question seems to be missing that answer
Agree with glukken. Here the most correct answer is D. If we also had the option of E from #108, then that would be the most correct answer.
Also here is another good reference for this whole topic.
