Is this not hte same question as 149; You have a server named Server1 that runs Windows Server 2016. Server1 has four SCSI disks and a storage pool named Pool1 that contains three disks. You create a virtual disk named Disk 1 that uses a mirrored layout. You create a partition named Partition1 that uses all of the available space on Disk 1. You need to extend Partition1. What should you do first? The answer there was; A. From Windows PowerShell, run the Resize-VirtualDisk cmdlet.

That's the best possible way to do it, but that option is not in this question ( A. From Windows PowerShell, run the Resize-VirtualDisk cmdlet.) so i'll go with the second way to do it which is C

The problem is as clear as water. "What should you do first?" You need to extend the virtual disk first, only then can you extend the partition on the virtual disk. "You create a virtual disk called Disk1 that uses a mirrored layout." "You create a partition called Partition1 that uses all of the available space on Disk 1." The order is clear both to create the virtual disk and its partition and to increase the size of the disk and its partition. The correct answer is "C: on the Storage Pools page in Server Manager, extend a virtual disk."

The server contains "4" hard drives and the storage pool is using 3. You extend the virtual disk and use the fourth disk to provide physical space for the data. This is a technology similar to Linux LVM...

If anyone is/was wondering why "Resize-VHD" is wrong, but "Resize-VirtualDisk" is correct, see "Gordon" and "Bradz" answers from: https://superuser.com/questions/573945/what-is-the-difference-between-vhd-and-virtual-disk

Partition1 that uses all of the available space on Disk 1. In my lab C did not work because it has no space to extend to. So on a whim I did D and it worked. So debate all you want, I am choosing D.

OK, I admit I can be thick at times. Nothing says that pool1 uses all the space in the storage pool. and I didnt see the AND in between "Server1 has four SCSI disks and a storage pool named Pool1 that contains three disks". so ignore me for now

My comment is based on C telling you to go to the storage pool page and extend the disk. The other solutions never suggest or mention where to run the command. The setup is pretty detail about the storage pool information... (best possible solution???) any thoughts!

I also think that C is correct a quick google search shows that it is done in Active Directory Storage Pools page - This is a tutorial on how to do it using Active Directory on youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA5lXtDxJqw
