MS Documentation: To renew a canceled or expired entitlement, open the entitlement, and then on the command bar, select Renew. The current entitlement will be set to Closed and a new entitlement will be created. I think it's D, seems like make a copy for me.

The expired entitlement is always in read-only mode and cannot be modified, also, there is no option to activate the expired entitlement. Only option available with expired entitlements is RENEW that will copy the current entitlement as a template into a new entitlement in draft mode, that needs to be modified (if required) and then activated. Ans: D

Answer should be option C, because it is mentioned as "current entitlement" which means new one and we can edit the date and terms , Finally activate. No option D, because it specifies create a copy and activate it. we cannot use the same start and end date of old entitlement

Hello All, the given answer is incorrect, as you Cannot Deactivate Entitlement You can deactivate only entitlements that are active or waiting. And the given entitlement of the customer is expired. So, as @rsilva said renew from the command bar the record will be created with new start and end date for create a new entitlement.

I think the answer is D because the question says that the same which means that there is no need to set new terms for the new entitlement. This makes C wrong because in C we will need to set new terms which is not required.

If we go for D, what happens to the new date to be set.? I think the correct answer is C because that option gives ability to add new dates.

Answer is correct : C To renew a cancelled or expired entitlement, open the entitlement, and then on the command bar, select Renew. A new entitlement will be created, and its status is set to "Draft", while the cancelled or expired entitlement will remain as is. The start date of the new entitlement will be set to the current date and the end date will be set to the current date plus the number of days between the end date and start date. The data in other fields is copied as is from the old entitlement. Source :- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/create-entitlement-define-support-terms-customer

A copy of the old entitlement (if you could even make one) would have the old expiration date. The key point here is that you have to update the expiration date to the *new* agreement and reactivate.

Definitely E, you have to make a copy (However, you have to select on the expired Entitlement and then click on renew --> the entitlement will open up, you are able to edit the end date and details and then activate the entitlement) I tested this out 12/05/2021
