A should be right: Because the question states that you MOUNT the vhdx File. So the VDH File is in use by the OS and i'm pretty sure the edit-nanosever cmdlet can't edit a file thats in use. So just copy with copy-item

I think A is corret. A. Copy-Item >> for all types of files >> correct answer B. Add-WindowsImage >> for .win file C. Add-WindowsPackage >> for .cab、.msu D. Edit-NanoServerImage >> for VHD/X file >> it needs to mount the image.

Both A and D are legitimate ways to solve this question, does anybody know if there are features that were released after the making of the test that makes one true?

I think D is the answer. You Edit the Nano Server image which allows you to add files. The Edit-NanoServerImage cmdlet adds packages, drivers, and configures operating system options for a base Nano Server installation. The cmdlet operates on an image produced by the New-NanoServerImage cmdlet. You can use the Edit-NanoServerImage cmdlet to do the following operations: Add packages. Add drivers. Add servicing packages (updates). Add an unattended setup file (unattend.xml). Add files. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/nanoserverimagegenerator/edit-nanoserverimage?view=win10-ps

No, you have mounted the image. You should copy the files into the mounted directory using copy-item.

I believe the answer is C. The link you are referring to discusses copying files. This questions is about adding files to an image. Therefore I think it is add-package or the dism variant is /add-package
