Its H "Optimizes the allocation of space used by virtual hard disk files, except for fixed virtual hard disks." https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/hyper-v/optimize-vhd?view=win10-ps

I think the given answer H is correct. Optimize-VHD should use Pretrimmed mode. In this mode it isn't needed to mound VHD. If Full mode is used, it is needed to mount VHD.(Correct answer may be A) But in Full mode using mount-VHD and this cmdlet scans zero block after a tool zeroed unused blocks.

https://mikefrobbins.com/2017/03/23/convert-resize-and-optimize-vhd-and-vhdx-files-with-powershell/ The Optimize-VHD cmdlet is used to optimize the amount of space used by dynamic virtual hard drive files. When this cmdlet is run, it compacts the virtual file.

Agreed https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/hyper-v/optimize-vhd?view=win10-ps The Optimize-VHD cmdlet optimizes the allocation of space in or more virtual hard disk files, except for fixed virtual hard disks. The Compact operation is used to optimize the files. This operation reclaims unused blocks as well as rearranges the blocks to be more efficiently packed, which reduces the size of a virtual hard disk file.
